Traditional insurance brokers have sought to get involved in advising their clients in relation to run-off portfolios, but their focus is very transactional aligned to a more traditional brokerage arrangement which has resulted in reduced completion certainty, and clients and counterparties can be wary of their lack of independence.

 

We have developed instead a strategy to create a value-add role for carriers within run-off transaction processes and based on initial dialogue with sellers, buyers and certain brokers.  We feel that a structure (with a significant contingency fee element) can be structured which would benefit all parties.

 

Our team has over 75 years of reinsurance experience from all angles (buy side, sell side, run-off carrier, TPA and financial advisory) and therefore have an understanding of the process, drivers and holds many relationships in the US and globally. Our rolodex includes strong relationships with North American regulators, including international regulatory bodies, to assist and streamline transaction approvals.
